” Now what? “

I suppose now I have been approved for the operation I should let you know what happens next. As I understand it I will have a telephone call to assess my mental state about having implants, surgery, anesthetic etc. Then a MRI scan which will be used to map out precisely what and where they need to target. If I recall correctly the target is about 1.5mm big (about the size of a grain of rice). Assuming both of those go well I will be notified of the morning I need to be at the hospital and the day after if all remains well I will be discharged to come home. May not be a long recovery but I will not be allowed to drive for 6 weeks. Then back to hospital for the big switch on.

In other news you will see I have allowed comments to be added by yourselves. I’m hoping it doesn’t get abused by some nefarious means. It does require a name and an email address but you can use a fake name and email address – I don’t mind. Just be mindful that after the comment is made, the comments will become part of this website and, for now, be publicly viewable, so can be read by anyone. If you are not comfortable with this, message me the normal way. Thank you.
